North Carolina's own Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement is probably the least repulsive act I've found flying the Sevared flag AGAIN !!!. could actually be a compliment since I'm sure the over-the-top brutality and thick slams that punctuate most of the records are entirely the aim, ignoring songwriting, memorability, technical skill, and everything involved in music making. You always know what you're going to get it !! semakin ga menyurutkan semangat sedikitpun untuk Seniman berbadan kekar bak Atlit Gulat, Jordan Varela yang terkenal sebagai drummer Dasyat dipenampilannya bersama Lust Of Decay era " Infesting the Exhumed " Album, penampilan Jordan mulai populer di scene kampung halamannya, North Carolina sehingga dirinya banyak terlibat di beberapa band seperti Domination Through Impurity, Symphony in Acrimony, Cesspool of Vermin, ex-Carcinogenic, ex-Debodified, ex-Epic of Empyrea, dan ex-Lividity, ternyata ga berhenti sampai disitu saja, Jordan masih memiliki satu ambisi full pribadinya bersama Sobat kentalnya di Jay Barnes, yang juga Vokalisnya Lust Of Decay untuk melancarkan kembali Obsesinya membentuk Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement dengan mengusung tema yang jarang mungkin dibawakan oleh band death metal lainnya, tema tentang adaptasi Legenda Samurai, Harakiri dan Tradisional Negeri jepang yang berbungan juga dengan sebuah Kematian dan kekejamannya. Jordan ternyata ga cuman Jago nge-drum aja, Doi juga Gape Banget Maenin Instrumen Guitar, dan Bass, en buktinya Jordan membentuk band ini urusan itu juga dijabanin sendiri loh ckckckckckck .... bener2 seorang Musisi Metal dengan Multitalenta yang menyukai sebuah Kerja Keras. Rilisan Pertamanya " As the Shroud of Suffering Suffocates the Land " Tahun 2007 via Sevared Records lumayan membuka mata Reputasi band ini dikancah Extreme Metal Internasional, dan masih bersama Sohib kentalnya, Jordan masih mengajak Vokalis Jay Barnes untuk melanjutkan Obsesi ke-2 ini di Lexington Studio, South Carolina masih menggandeng Produser dan Enjiner Bob Moore yang sukses menggarap album2nya Nile, Lecherous Nocturne, dan hampir semua band2 di Roster Brutal Label Comatose Music. Langsung saja untuk materi baru ini seperti sebuah Peningkatan Konsep sejak Materi pertama " As the Shroud of Suffering Suffocates the Land " yang bagi gw lebih terkesan sentuhan Death Metal Cantiknya, meskipun Semua orang tau gimana Musikalitas Jordan sendiri untuk memainkan konsep musik yang cepat dan Dinamis seperti di Lust Of Decay atau Domination Through Impurity, di Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement ini lebih tampil Rilex gaya Death Metal-nya, namun tetap tidak menghilangkan Art Technical part dan Blastbeat Rapatnya. There are a few slams and breakdowns here and there that attempt to spice up the mix but they don't do much help. The thing that makes this album so confusing to me is the drumming. It's fast, it's prominent, but it's also weak at the same time. The production is partially at fault for this anomaly, as the drums are pushed to the front of the mix, yet the bass drum sounds like somebody slapping a basketball and the snare sounds like it's covered in Ritz crackers. It entirely decimates the power they clearly intend to highlight. The other huge problem is the man's playing style in the first place. Double bass is pounding about 85% of the time, but his upper half seems stuck in half time. Kebetulan Banget menjadi kesempatan gw disaat sedang Boring dan Muntah harus menulis stuff tentang Brutal Death Metal, ada waktunya sekarang harus mendengarkan salah satu genre faforite gw, Melodic Death Metal !! coz gw banyak menerima stuff genre ini juga hehehehe, diantaranya seperti dari band asal Rome, Lazio, Italy ini, yang konsep musiknya merupakan perpaduan panjang antara Dark Tranquillity, Death, Dissection, At The Gates, Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum, Amon Amarth, Amorphis, Novembre, Lahmia, hingga Lunarse menjadi sebuah komposisi yang asli melodius banget sentuhannya. " Symptoms of a Common Sickness " menjadi debut perdana full albumnya setelah cukup sukses mengenalkan diri dengan demo " Through this Path " tahun 2010 jarak 1 tahun band ini terbentuk. meskipun dari Italy, Band ini lumayan memberikan sentuhan ala Sounding Gothenburg banget, ga ayal banget karakteristik ala Dark Tranquillity, In Flames hingga Amon Amarth sangat terasa sekali. seperti biasa membuat penasaran dalam rangka masih tahap foreplay, track pertama " From High ", band ini masih belum menampakkan sebuah terapi hitamnya pada sentuhan musiknya, lebih cenderung bergaya Melodic Doom Metal yang begitu kental ala Amorphis serta Novembre banget. namun baru terasa karakteristik mereka begitu masuk track ke-2 " Black Therapy ", spontan enerji mereka menjadi lebih meledak2 dengan beat musik yang cepat dan tajam. Sounding Old School Death Metal Raw gaya lamanya Entombed dan Dismember cukup menjadi dasar awal pemilihan Gothenburg sounding band. style death metal-nya bahkan lebih mendapat sentuhan kental Thrash metal ala Kreator sehingga memang acap kali membawa gw ke nuansa headbang ! sementara konsep melodic Riffing-nya juga ga terlalu berat selain kerap menampilkan sentuhan melodius part aja. atau secara simple dan easy listening kalo gw gambarkan, kayak gaya Betrayer dari jakarta itu hehehe .... The songwriting here isn't technically that bad, and the band is unquestionably talented, it's just that they're trying to do too much at once, cramming too many unnecessary elements into each song and making them kind of unmemorable, despite sounding cool sometimes. God, even In Flames could construct a more memorable song than most of the shit on here, and that isn't exactly a high compliment! Gaya Middle Screaming Vocalis Giuseppe Massimiliano Di Giorgio bahkan lebih mengingatkan banget dengan gaya bernyanyi Night In Gales Era " Towards the Twilight " banget, walo sentuhan melodiusnya ga sekental Band asal Jerman ini, bisa gw katakan konsepsionalnya band ini mendekati gaya lama Night In Gales. This album left me craving more, and more, and more. I could listen again, and again, and again and never get bored. It might be a stretch to call it the greatest album of all time, but it is surely my favorite. And it is definitely the greatest of the Gothenburg/Melodeath genre. I would surely suggest it for any melodeath fan, and anyone who really craves a perfect epic blend of melody and aggression. 11 lagu berdurasi total 45:42 memang lebih akan melepaskan kita dalam jerat boring terhadap rutinitas kehidupan sehari hari. humming the melody, and feeling every message the song is attempting to convey. Through all this they close it out with about five seconds of an acoustic melody that just really lets your mind take in the album you just listened to.

AWESOME riffs, great shredding, cool piano, nice melodies, and then the lyrics come around. I can't for the life of me understand what they are saying. Although in its defense it's screamo, so I'm not exactly supposed to, right? But that's besides the point. There are two types of screaming on this album: growly and actual SCREAMING. The screaming portions are fairly good, usually accompanied by the lesser part of the music, the ones with the crazy fast, pounding drum beat that I have always stoutly believed is not needed in any song. Then the pounding would stop and you're back to normal growly lyrics with a fantastic sound playing around it. Harsh Vokal Marc Martins lebih mengingatkan Gw dengan Alexei Laiho-nya COB dan disertai dengan Soprano Male Vokal yang lumayan Clean dari Keyboardis Miguel Espinosa. dan tentunya disini menjadi SANGAT menarik perhatian adalah tentunya permainan Sinting Gitaris Carlos yang begitu Cepat memainkan jemarinya di lick Musik dan progres yang cepat kerap mengikuti jemari Keyboardis Miguel, gw rasa Permainan Rhapsody Of Fire bakalan kurang lebih cepat dari band ini kayaknya hehehe ... permainan drummer Marc Mas semakin prima dan Powerfully mengimbangi kegilaan Gitaris dan Keyboardis dengan lebih menonjolkan permainan yang dinamis serba menendang pula ! Gaya Vokal Guttural Gurgling menjadi Ornamen wajib bagi karakter bermusiknya, tanpa terdengar pattern yang begitu jelas lafal pengucapan Baik Syair lagu selain hanya terdengar Urrghh Irrghhh Erghhh aja, dengan konsep hyperblast yang mengingatkan akan kekejaman " Desecrate the Vile " nya Condemned, Brodequin, Animal Killing People, Purulent dan kemudian dibumbui dengan Slamming Parau ala Cephalotripsy, Devourment hingga Vulvectomy. Sounding Drumming-nya terdengar banget Kemasan Programming Loop Track -nya, hal ini terdengar pada sound Cymbal yang begitu Digitalized. gaya Downtuned Riffing yang Lowend style semakin menambah kejam elemen slamming-nya. memuntahkan 8 lagu dengan sentuhan kejam tanpa mengenal lelah membombardir dengan serangan Hyperblast sana sini dan dipermanis dengan kemasan slamming Groovy-nya, tapi koq lama lama bagi gw kog bikin boring ya? disamping belum ada sesuatu yang " Baru " ditonjolkan disini, komposisi musiknya seperti sesuatu yang diulang2. dan seandainya lebih menambahkan poin variasi yang menantang, gw jamin aransemen track disini menjadi lebih hidup tanpa merasa harus terjebak dalam Trend Slamming di Scene Indonesia. Produksi Sound yang Clean cukup menarik perhatian label asal Amrik, Torn Flesh Records untuk dirilis dalam format CD dan kemudian label asal jerman, Rebirth the Metal Productions, merilis kembali dalam format pro-printed CD-R terbatas hanya 150 hand-numbered copies. Anyway the drums are really intense on this release. Furious blast beating at least 80% of the time and then dry aggressive pounding whiplashing beats. The guitars do sound quite a bit muddy indeed, but this doesn’t inhibit your ability to distinguish the guitar riffs. Surprise banget dengan konsep yang ditawarkan oleh Barudak asal Bandung ini, sempat gw masih terjebak dalam Stigma Progres Musick Style Band2 Brutal Bandung yang selalu bakalan didominasi dengan Hyperblaster yang diusung oleh pendahulunya tanpa memberi kesempatan gw menikmati stagnasi yang ada. dengan menampilkan permainan yang " cool " memang Humiliation lebih mencoba mengingatkan banget dengan konsep " Melted " nya Disinfected diera 90-an yang hingga kini en selamanya menghipnotis Enjoy gw menikmatinya, sebuah Konsep musik fantastis bagi gw dilakukan oleh 4 barudak Killer bandung ini, apalagi band ini mencoba menambahkan elemen Tradisional asli Sunda banget dalam sentuhan musiknya yang asli variatif. mungkin bagi yang penasaran sekali dengan Humiliation ( termasuk Gw .ed ), dan Ini Bukan Humiliation, Metalcore asal Pekanbaru, Riau atau Humiliation Band Death Metal asal Kuala Lumpur, Malasya loh, ada baiknya gw coba menulis tentang Debutan berbahaya " Beda " dari Bandung Roster ini. menggandeng Enjiner Toteng-nya Forgotten menjadi sebuah Keharusan tersendiri bagi band2 bandung untuk menjaga kualitas sounding-nya di Masterplan Studio dan Dialog Studio pada bulan Februari 2012 yang kemudian proses mixing dan Masteringnya ditangani oleh Kang Dadi Beerat di Dialog Studio Pada Bulan Juni Hingga September telah melahirkan kembali the best masterpiece keren ini. track pertama dimulai oleh sebuah Intro Instrumen yang menyuguhkan Foreplay asyik sebagai Opening Track Humiliation berdurasi hanya 1:29 menit sebelum kita merasakan sebenarnya siksaan berikut " Paradigma ", hentakan blastbeat mantap dan Rapat seakan tidak memberi kesempatan kita untuk bernafas panjang, tapi ga melulu blastbeat yang ditawarkan, serangan groovy part ala Dying Fetus menjadi komposisi yang excelent, apalagi sayatan downstroke Gitaris Agy memang atraktif banget dengan sentuhan dinamisnya untuk menari bebas dengan segala bentuk Ekspresi Khas John Gallager Cs di Dying Fetus sebagai salah satu Motivator utamanya menulis lagu disini. " Sabda Murka " masih terus membabi buta dengan hentakan surprising brutal death metal yang enerjik ! sayatan Riffing Agy semakin lebih liar eksplorasinya mengutak atik fantastic riffing-nya. sentuhan Karakter kuat " Melted " Disinfected dileburkan dalam gaya Technical Riffing Necrophagist Mungkin dengan beberapa Neoclassical Shredd part mendera setiap titik jemari-nya. bagi gw mendengar aransemen cerdas band ini semakin yakin akan potensi berbahaya band ini kedepannya. meski tidak melakukan sesuatu yang " Baru ", setiap komposisi yang mereka lahirkan selalu membawa " Kejutan ". " Hamba Sayaha ", tetap terdengar karakter khas dan Kuat Band2 Death Metal bandung, dan yang lebih keren, pada menit ke 01:03, drummer Lutfi melakukan Drumming solo ciamik walo hanya hingga ke menit ke 01:14, amazing !!! " Savior Of Human Destruction " tanpa ampun menyiksa dengan sajian Hyperblast Snare dan Groovy part everywhere fantastic ! " Ceremony Burial Of Defamation " diawali dengan sebuah Sampling Intro yang dibuat oleh Jay Eye Feel Sick yang didalamnya kembali Gitaris Agy memainkan gaya Akustik Clean Gitar di part awal kemudian disambut gempuran rapat drummer Lufty yang semakin liar enerjik menyapa ! ga melulu dijejali dengan gempuran blastbeat, senandung Akustik Gitar kian menambah variatif aransemen lagu ini dengan lick riffing cantik dan kelamnya. " Instruksi Kematian ", lagi2 Gitaris Agy memainkan Slapdownstroke Riffing awesome ! partisi musik yang simple namun tetap terdengar " Berkualitas " hampir disetiap Komposisinya menjadi hal paling menarik dalam story penulisan lagu, bagaimana Menciptakan Struktur musik dinamis tapi tetep sinkron dengan ritme nada yang ada, sehingga kita ga akan dibelenggu oleh rasa boring tentang dinamisme itu sendiri. dan track pamungkas-nya, Humiliation mempersembahkan sebuah penghargaan untuk salah satu Blastbeater Kontroversial Bleeding Corpse dengan memainkan kembali " Bangkai Para Pendosa " masih dengan karakter Humiliation sendiri, yang Jelas akan semakin berbeda jika Gw merasakannya kembali. well, secara keseluruhan, materi ini sangat menarik sekali untuk kalian konsumsi juga, karena memang menawarkan komposisi musik fantastis dan jauh dari kesan boring, apalagi didukung dengan kemasan sounding yang menonjok abis ! ditambah lukisan keren karya Seniman kebanggaan Bandung Scene, sapa seh yang ga kenal kang Gustav Injected Sufferage, karyanya banyak menghiasi artwork band2 metal selama ini. terdapat juga narasi lirik lagu pada artwork Booklet Cover CD ini. mungkin bagi elo yang masih merindukan kembali penampilan " Melted " Disinfected yang kental dengan sentuhan kuat Gaya Dying Fetus dan ga selalu didominasi dengan part2 Blastbeat, kayaknya sangat gw rekomendasikan untuk mencicipi langsung masterpiece dasyat ini !!
