There are a few cases of the familiar and throwaway melodies, but these are vastly overshadowed by the overall quality of the release. This is also one of those albums you want to listen straight through, it's quite a moody journey. " Abeyance " menggebrak di awal Track masih dengan sentuhan Death Metal Standard yang Mengkultus-kan Melodic Gitar secara utama dalam setiap Aransemen lagunya, yup sentuhan Mantap dan Tajam yang menjadi karakteristik Amon Amarth Masih sangat begitu terasa disini, Duet Gitaris Shaun Sykes dan George Kosmas memang kerap melahirkan part2 Epic Riffing yang melodius dan kemudian dibungkus rapi oleh alunan Merdu keyboardis Steve Merry, pada menit ke 01:43 Lagu bisa Kita Jumpai Rythym Guitar yang Folky banget nuansa-nya digeber dengan gaya Speed Metal Riffing, kereen !!! sayatan melodius dari gitaris Shaun Memang begitu Melarutkan suasana Menjadi Hitam. selanjutnya " Remnants " masih meluncur dengan Irama yang terasa Doomy Metal banget ala Amorphis dan Paradise Lost dan Dimainkan lagi dengan Middle Downstroke tempo headbang. Sentuhan Melodius memang menjadi Amunisi Utama dalam setiap Penciptaan lagu Band ini, sehingga Menjadikan lagu2nya memiliki Durasi yang panjang, total  selama Hampir 1 jam kita bisa jelas menikmati Sajian lagu2 disini. One guitar is always counterbalancing the other with the proper string of chords, or plucky melody, and this persists throughout the album has some nice progressive death flourishes, the pianos well integrated with the chords. sepertinya gw dibawa ke alam Fantasi begitu serius menikmati Sajian Karya ini, sebuah Fatamorgana Hitam Kerap menyelubungi Fikiran dan Benak gw cieeeee !!! Komposisi Musik yang Bagus apalagi Karakter bermain Band ini begitu menyatu dengan suasananya, sehingga Rilisan ini sangat Gw rekomendasikan melumatkan Malam elo yang khususnya pada Kena Imsonia hahahaha, Rilisan ini Dieropa di Rilis oleh Kolony Records dan tersedia juga special edition digipack yang menawan. Be'lakor have crafted the very best melodic Australian death I have heard to date. Western Sydney, Australia Brutal Death Metal Bagus nihh !! memang ga sengaja gw menemukan Band ini sewaktu Browsing, awalnya memang melihat artwork cool dari band ini, gw kira maenin Deathcore yang membosankan, namun begitu Gw coba sendiri, 5 gerombolan Busuk ini memang memiliki Konsep Musik yang Ganas dengan berbagai Typical Extreme dipadukan menjadi sebuah Komposisi musik dengan beat2 Brutal as Fuck !! beberapa sentuhan tajam ala Oceano, Behemoth, Whitechapel, Aversions Crown, Boris the Blade, Despised Icon, Thy Art Is Murder, The Acacia Strain dipadukan lagi dengan gaya Bengis Cannibal Corpse dan Suffocation menjadi sebuah aransemen yang mematikan terasakan dalam 6 lagu super Ngebut ini. Karakter Vocalis Troy memang Enerjik walau parau Kerongkongannya kurang begitu terdengar maksimal namun cukup membuat Konsep band ini menjadi lebih Menghantam ditambah lagi dengan Emosional Vokal disela2 Raungannya ! dentuman maha Dasyat Drummer Zac memang tidak bisa dianggap sebelah mata dengan gempuran Hyperblast yang kerap dilancarkannya, lalu duet maut Gitaris Jake dan Blake memang tidak serta merta dapat dipisahkan dalam alur Struktur band ini yang kejam, menusuk dan Menendang ! " Humble Abode " lebih menawarkan beberapa Simple Headbang part di struktur awal sebelum kita digempur dengan part cepat lagi. is a gem of utter brutality - death metal the way it was meant to be played. terasa pula drummer Euan Heriot semakin powerfully mempermainkan perangkat set drum-nya kian Konstan ! kemudian suasana mulai mencair dengan track Down Midtempo " Stargazer (The Summoning) ", Abramelin lebih menampilkan permainan Old School Death Metal yang Doomy banget mengingatkan akan karakter bermain Autopsy dan sayatan melodic Riffing-nya lebih mencoba menggugah ingatan gw dengan karakteristik Carcass era " Heartwork ", namun hal ini ga berlangsung lama, setengah permainan berikutnya Abramelin kembali beringas memainkan Fast part-nya kembali. dan masih melanjutkan Sekuel berikutnya track " Stargazing (Stargazer II) " tetap menyimpan karakter sama. lalu " Deprived of Afterlife " Real headbang Part come here on First Part. down mid tempo yang dihantam sajian twin pedal rapat dan mantap adalah menjadi salah satu elemen kuat pada track ini. meskipun ada beberapa part yang diulang2, Abramelin masih tetap dapat menampilkan kualitas bermusiknya dengan bagus. seperti terus semakin mendapatkan tantangan yang berbeda, Abramelin semaksimal terus menciptakan elemen2 berbeda pada 2 lagu terakhirnya, " Invocation " dan sebuah Cover version milik band World Fusion terkenal sekampung di Melbourne, Australia, yaa Dead Can Dance, Abramelin sendiri coba memainkan gaya Musik Fusion universal dari Duo musisi legendaris Lisa Gerrard dan Brendan Perry dilagu " Cantara " menutup perjumpaan di album ini menjadi lebih indah saja hehehehe ... sebuah komposisi musik Death Metal dinamis menarik bisa elo rasakan sendiri disini, dengan kualitas Sound rekaman yang tergolong keren di Era 90-an Garapan Enjiner dan Produser Adam Calaitzis Toyland Studios, Melbourne telah menciptakan Masterpiece terbaiknya, walau sayang Abramelin kurang bisa membawa kembali sentuhan yang menggigit seperti materi album pertama ini, di album ke-2 " Deadspeak " Tahun 2000, band ini seperti mulai harus goyah dan diterpa banyak masalah internal sehingga pada akhirnya tahun 2001 memutuskan untuk mengakhiri sepak terjang Abramelin dikancah Extreme Metal setelah sepanggung dengan Band Black/Gothic metal populer, Cradle Of Filth. Album pertama ini khabarnya pun sempat mendapat protes keras terhadap Penulisan liriknya di Australia sendiri sehingga sempat juga dilarang peredarannya disana, namun seperti biasa, setiap pertentangan yang timbul justru menjadikan Rilisan ini Sold Out dalam waktu sekejab sejak awal perilisannya yang secara Independen, kemudian tahun 1997, Repulse Records sangat berminat untuk perilisan kembali untuk pasaran Internasional, setelah sebelumnya sub label dari Shock Australia, Thrust Records merilisnya dan sold out berlanjut pada 1998 kembali merilis ulang bersama dengan Materi Ep " Transgression from Acheron " dalam kemasan double CD tanpa lirik didalamnya. dan sekedar tambahan info aja, kalau Abramelin pertama kali terbentuk sempat menggunakan nama Acheron, namun karena ada perbedaan yang signifikan dengan Band Acheron dari Amrik lebih dulu kondang, sehingga diputuskan menggunakan nama Abramelin ini. Biasanya untuk mengawali karir bermain Musik, umum dan kebanyakan band pasti merilis Demo atau Ep, namun hal ini tidak berlaku pada trio band Death/Thrash Metal asli Moorabbin, Victoria, Australia yang pada awal kemunculannya lebih Total memainkan komposisi Old School Death Metal intense justru untuk pertama kalinya secara official malah merilis Video/VHS ( Video Kaset Pita .ed ) " Metal Missionaries " Tahun 1991, band yang pada awalnya bernama Light Force ini akhirnya menarik minat Boss Nuclear Blast Records, Markus Staiger untuk merilisnya di Kawasan Eropa, sementara CD ini dirilis oleh Intense Records. Mortification play an older style of death metal, and the power trio puts together a really impressive sound. The production leaves enough space for everything to be heard, with some room to breathe - the guitar has an excellent crunchy sound with a vicious buzz from the high gain, but the recording is not clipped, so it comes through with all of its edge, but without pummeling percussion. The bass tone is clean and punchy and is certainly audible, in a great balance with the guitar. The drums sound great, nothing is too loud, and they balance well overall. The vocals are the only thing that is double tracked, simply the same part recorded twice to give them a thicker sound, which really brings them out in all their ferocity. yang menarik perhatian gw adalah Track " Scrolls of the Megilloth " yang pertama kali gw kenal pada Album Kompilasi " Death Just Is Beginning end II ", surprise banget dengan konsep Death Metal mereka Harmonius dan Blastbeat mantap ditawarkan dengan sentuhan garang pula. kemudian beberapa bulan kemudian gw malah bisa melihat penampilan mereka di Video clip kompilasi " Death Just is Beginning end " dan baru sadar aja kalau Drummer Jayson Sherlock adalah seorang drummer kidal. kebanyakan juga band2 Death Metal era 90-an mengusung lirik tentang anti tuhan dan satanisme, namun hal ini sama sekali tidak berlaku untuk Mortification yang lebih Religius dan kebalikan dari semua itu yang mereka tuangkan lewat Gempuran irama death metal yang Intense ! karena Sangat sulit mendapatkan Album full waktu itu, akhirnya gw cuman hanya bisa meng-copy kasetnya aja dari seorang temen hehehehe, album Full ke-2 ini memang mempunyai Bobot Musikalitas yang lebih baik sejak album pertama " Mortification " tahun 1991. Album ini lebih menampilkan aransemen musikalitas Mortification yang lebih cepat dan rapi dengan Track " Nocturnal " sebagai track awal, band ini menambahkan Suara2 dikehidupan malam yang alami banget, suara Kodok, Jangkrik, Serigala,etc untuk mengawali Track ini selama 01:40 kemudian disambung dengan Middle Part yang asyik dan berakhir dengan hentakan Twin pedal yang mantap terhubung seketika dengan gaya Old School Death metal beat style, On to the actual music, the riffing is a mix of tremolo picking and power chords that usually carries the melody. Occasionally, there are guitar-only breaks where the guitar absolutely roars when it is allowed the entire mix, and the riffs are solid, but it is usually a low, chainsaw-like sound with an edge of tearing sheet metal. permainan mantap Drummer Jayson Sherlock menawarkan sentuhan tajam yang powerfully pada struktur lagunya. Sound Gitaris Michael Carlisle yang raw namun tetap padat menciptakan Jam Riffing mantap. sementara frontman bassis vokalis Steve Rowe masih memiliki karakter vokal yang begitu khas Death Metal sekali. it matches up to the guitar when needed for the percussive parts, and it almost always rhythmically pairs with it, but it melodically separates itself strategically to contrast and supplement the guitar melodies, all within the thrashy style of the music. " Terminate Damnation " selanjutnya tampil dengan blastbeat cepat langsung pada awal part-nya. gaya Breakpart Vocalistic unik partisinya. it dominates the song with a lot of ultra-fast, very clear playing and plays without the guitar after every chorus in a great melodic lead rarely heard from death metal bassists. dengan Miskin Gain, Sound Gitar memang terdengar Raw dan tidak memiliki Vibrasi panjang sehingga malah terdengar patah-patah. lalu " Eternal Lamentation " masih terus menawarkan beat yang cepat dan brutal nuansanya, agresif dan enerjik sekali pembawaannya. beberapa Harmonisasi gelap cukup terasakan pada Riffing Gitar. " Raise the Chalice ", Thrash Riffing mulai dipadukan pada aransemen musiknya kali ini, dengan Middle Headbang Part, sayang Sound Gitar Michael Carlisle lagi2 bagi gw kurang memiliki Gain, patah-patah sayatan string-nya, dan giliran Steve Rowe untuk memamerkan cabikan cepat Bass-nya disini. " Scrolls of the Megilloth " tetap Gw andalkan sebagai Track keren di album ke-2 ini. The drums work quite well with the pace of the music - never excessive, always very much in tune with what the guitar and bass are doing - but very much capable of high speeds, just not abusive of these during the sections where the song is not, and does not need to be very fast. I really enjoy the tastefulness of the drumming, as it lacks neither speed nor technicality, but it does not overuse either and regulates the music as well as adding some rhythmic creativity. Cepat dan Harmonis Hitam kekuatan yang ekstrim ditawarkannya. begitu juga dengan " Death Requiem " masih memiliki Alur dan Pola yang sama dengan " Scrolls of the Megilloth ", seperti ini adalah bagian lanjut Track ini saja. album ini kemudian di akhiri dengan Track " Ancient Prophesy " yang memiliki Durasi yang panjang sekitar 11:41 menawarkan komposisi yang lama lama malah bijin Boring suasana aja, namun semua 10 lagu disini adalah Kualitas terbaik Mortification sepanjang Karir musiknya bagi Gw sendiri, In conclusion, Scrolls of the Megilloth is a vital piece of extreme metal history in the realm of Christian metal as well as the secular scene. Get this if you enjoy good quality old school death metal whether you concur with their profound Christian beliefs or not. namun sayang Band ini terlalu banyak mengalami pergeseran Konsep saat ini sehingga menciptakan karakter baru yang memutuskan Gw untuk meninggalkan band produktif ini. album ke-2 ini tetap menjadi The Best Masterpiece Mortification sepanjang masa ! Production is very good when you actually consider that this album was recorded back in 1992. Sometimes it sounds a little fuzzy like in the title track maybe, but the rest is amazing. Definitely not the best but worthy of recognition. So as you can tell this is just an awesome album. If you're looking for some death metal, this is it. It's got everything you want in death metal. This album certainly proves that just because something is christian, doesn't mean it isn't listenable.
