Selain mengambil nama band dari salah satu dedengkot Death Metal/Grindcore klasik asal Saint Petersburg, Florida, Assuck, nama Misery Index ini bagi Band merupakan sebuah indikator ekonomi yang diciptakan oleh Chicago ekonom Arthur Melvin Okun pada 1970-an yang melihatnya pada tingkat pengangguran ditambah dengan tingkat inflasi. Hal ini diasumsikan bahwa tingkat yang lebih tinggi dari angka pengangguran dan memburuknya inflasi menimbulkan biaya ekonomi dan sosial suatu negara. Kombinasi kenaikan inflasi dan lebih banyak orang keluar dari pekerjaan menyiratkan penurunan kinerja ekonomi dan kenaikan indeks kesengsaraan maka jadilah MISERY INDEX ! sebuah nama yang banyak membuat Inspirasi dan merubah Attitude Hidup Gw menjadi semakin Enerjik ! Modern Grindcore paling populer saat ini memang sudah menjadi jaminan Kualitas bermain musik Keren ! pasca Merilis album terakhirnya " Heirs to Thievery " tahun 2010 lalu, Band ini disibukkan sekali dengan deretan Tour panjang-nya keseluruh dunia termasuk Indonesia, semasa perjalanan tour, Misery Index Juga merilis Split Album 7 " dengan Legendaris Grindcore Lock Up!, Cuman mempersembahkan Track baru " Siberian " yang terinspirasi dengan Penulis Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's pada buku "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich". mengabadikan salah satu performance terbaiknya sewaktu tampil di Munich, jerman pada 18 Pebruari 2012 lalu akhirnya menarik minat Label Ternama Season of Mist untuk merilisnya sebagai Album Live resmi ditahun 2013 ini dengan edisi terbatas Hand Numbered Hand, die-cut sleeve, yang tersedia dalam corak warna Hitam, Bening dan Transparan vinyl merah. I think it doesn’t take much for one to understand the significance of live recordings, and in order for an excellent live release, the band not only has to be able to perform the original tracks either flawlessly or be able to improvise on the spot, all the while ensuring that the audience is kept captivated with the energy and the stage presence of the band. Misery Index, being an extremely seasoned band, certainly managed to get these right. Without wasting much time with the intro on Sleeping Giants, all hell quickly break loose as the band unleashes their brand of death/grind upon the crowd. Album Live pertama dengan Kualitas sound Dasyat ini tentu menarik Perhatian Gw untuk memburu dan mendapatkannya, dan setelah dapat makin ga sabar aja gw untuk menulis Review tentang ini. " Sleeping Giants " yang diawali dengan sebuah Intro sampling tengah mempersiapkan Aksi Misery Index sebelum Drummer Adam Jarvis membuka Pukulan pembuka track ini ! Amazing Sound Production !! Each of the musicians in the band easily prove their familiarity with the craft, with each crushing riff and each drum roll being executed with deadly precision and merciless impact. Drummer Adam easily steals the limelight, with the high energy that he provides to the music and the tireless blasts that are aplenty throughout the setlist and it is the drumming that really makes Live in Munich an extremely enjoyable experience for me. Jason’s vocals are as brutal as it gets, and his charm on the crowd is evident through the crowd interactions that are littered throughout the release. terasa terdengar jelas jernih sounding yang dihasilkan untuk rekaman panggung sekelas Misery Index ! powerfully dan Enerjik sekali setiap lekuk performance-nya, Gileee !!! disusul oleh " The Carrion Call " yang Intro Part awal Track bisa gw bayangkan akan mengaduk ngaduk arena Moshpit area dengan liar ! " You Lose " semakin keji Membuat panas Moshpit Headbang area banget !! stamina Adam Jarvis memang powerfully banget spiritnya untuk terus menghentakkan Pukulan mantapnya ! dan memang setiap awal penampilan Track Jason bersama Mark selalu memulainya dengan Raungan Pembangkit adrenalin Audience. yang pasti masih kita hafal setiap komposisi yang dimainkan Misery Index memang selalu penuh dengan Aransemen Memorable, simple namun kuat menendang pada setiap dinamisme-nya, dan Gw jamin aja kalo siapa aja yang mendengar musik Misery Index pasti akan menggoyangkan kepalanya hehehe ... kemudian Track paling Fenomenal pada full album pertama mereka " Retaliate " so pasti " The Great Depression " yang paling gw tunggu2 kedasyatannya diatas panggung ! Memang tidak akan pernah ada habisnya jika memuji Kedasyatan salah band Metal terbaik dalam Playlist Lifetime Gw ini, Sejak terbentuk dari Sakit hati menjadi Rival Berat Nama Dying Fetus tahun 2001 lalu, Misery Index kayaknya masih mendapat Animo Hangat dari Para Diehard Fans-nya. Dengan Komposisi Modern Grinding Death/Grind yang Menarik menjadi daya tarik terkuat MI selanjutnya membantai meski Bongkar pasang formasi kerap terjadi dalam tubuh band, Buktinya MI selalu menciptakan Komposisi2 yang Surprizing Banget ! they are actual songs, not the secret mind-fuck track that historically eats the clock on classic grind releases. But back here in this greed-stricken land of poverty, the battles for Misery Index are fought longer. Maybe in a different view, you could say that they are conveying the feeling of a struggling working class through drawn out passages. These passages are steel straight to your throat, nothing 'progressive' going on here, but not all that visceral. " The Killing Gods " adalah masa penantian MI yang cukup panjang setelah " Heirs to Thievery " tahun 2010 karena padatnya jadwal Promo Tour Panjang Mereka ke Seluruh dunia, Penulisan Materi baru menjadi Kerap Tersendat. dan " The Killing Gods " adalah Debut Pertama bagi gitaris Darin Morris (ex-Criminal Element, ex-Autumn Dawn) sejak menggantikan Posisi John "Sparky" Voyles rupanya lumayan memberi Sentuhan menarik tersendiri bagi Musikalitas MI dialbum ini duet dengan Gitaris/Vokalis Mark Kloeppel menjadi terasa lebih hidup dengan sayatan Melodius-nya. Sejak Merilis Press Track New sebelumnya, Interest Gw seperti sedang pada Konak terbesar yang harus tersalurkan segera hahahahaha ... dan inilah Keputusan yang tepat dimana MI harus kembali produktif dengan Komposisi dasyatnya. Dimulai dengan " Urfaust ", rasanya Kejutan belum mulai nampak, selain suguhan Epic/Melodic Part sebagai Intro Instrumen-nya sedikit mengingatkan dengan " The Patriarch "nya Kreator, dan untuk kemudian Gencatan perang Dasyat harus starting memasuki Track " The Calling ", masih Signifikan dengan Pukulan Mega Dasyat dari Drummer Adam Jarvis seperti pada materi2 sebelumnya. the groovy dynamics of the song pretty much set the tone for what’s in store ! Raungan Tajam Parau Jason Netherton bergantian dengan Mark Kloeppel masih menjadi Trademark Bagi MI sejak Band ini dideklarasikan. kemudian sambutan Solo Gitar Melodius Darin Morris memberi nuansa baru yang sebelumnya hampir terlalu Jarang dilakukan Oleh MI, Well Grinding with Melodic solo Part why Not? Equally potent are the guitars, spewing out chunky chords and death metal riffs left and right. Misery Index then introduce a melancholic melody towards the end of the track which evolves into a solo over a blasting rhythm section. The remainder of the song sees the band let up on the gas momentarily to crush you with their signature groove sections. " The Oath " kemudian seperti menjadi Part ke-2 " Urfaust " sebelum merasakan lagi serangan membabi Buta berikutnya. dan " Conjuring the Cull " cukup bikin Headbang pada beberapa Part-nya, Slowly dulu dengan Ritme Musik yang MI mainkan sebelum " The Harrowing " akan Menjadi Binatang Buas Penyerang berikutnya. appear to have settled into the bands both musically and stylistically, and it shows with a top notch barrage of blast beats and menacing grooves. dan yang selalu Gw Nikmati dan Hafalkan dari Konseptual MI sejak dahulu adalah, Meski Memainkan grinding Part yang Powerfully, MI masih Menyisakan Jeda Part untuk memainkan Groovy Part yang Ciamik tak terlepas dari Pengaruh yang dibawa Ex. Member Dying Fetus ini. Kemudian " The Killing Gods " disajikan dengan Irama yang Cukup dinamis yang dimulai dengan Part yang Epic diawal struktur yang selanjutnya balutan melodic Riffing adalah Partisi Konsepnya. dengan menghabiskan durasi 05:30, " The Killing Gods " menjadi Track terlama di album ini. attacks with the relentless tenacity and quick strike ferocity of an African Honey Badger. And with that grindcore’s savagery, comes the added depth, pacing and longer songs of death metal, making for a complete extreme metal experience that will leave you battered, bruised and ready to rise against all authority. Pukulan Drum mengagumkan Adam Jarvis selanjutnya bisa elo nikmati pada track " Cross to Bear " tetap menciptakan Komposisi Beat yang Prima ! begitu pula dengan " Sentinels ", Kemudian seperti tidak adanya sikap Bermusuhan yang Berlarut-larut, MI menampilkan Rekan lama Band Sebelum MI, John Gallagher-nya Dying Fetus didaulat untuk ikut berkoar di track " Colony Collapse " dan Yang paling Menyentuh Mood Grinding Gw adalah pada track Pamungkasnya " Heretics ", rasanya sanggup mengaduk Emosional Gw sangat begitu meresapi Aransemen Komposisi-nya dengan sentuhan Part yang Rancak dan Ciamik ! simak pada Mid refrain-nya yang menampilkan Memorable Groovy Beat yang Ajib-ajib banget antara riffing dan Drumming-nya. Secara keseluruhan Materi " The Killing Gods " adalah Materi MI yang lebih terdengar Melodius dengan Sentuhan Kuat masuknya Gitaris Darin Morris ! tapi sukanya adalah beberapa part Grooving Kuat era " Overthrow " banyak bertaburan di album ini meski beberapa Mid Down tempo kadang malah Bikin Boring, tapi MI tetep menyuguhkan Sajian Modern grinding yang menarik ! The line up has stabilized and the songwriting is the best it's been, not leaving out any attributes that have make them a force to be reckoned with.
